As you are already aware only 3 of a possible 7 Councillors submitted nominations and were elected to take office for the next 4 years with effect from 8^th May 2019.

If you do care about the place where you live and want to have a say on the things that are important to the residents of Surlingham please consider applying for one of the 4 places.

It is important that the council represents a broad spectrum of the community to ensure a balanced debate on all issues.

As the public face of the council you would attend regular meetings and share the responsibilities of the council with your colleagues.

Yoga Meditation Class

Join me Yasmina, on Monday for morning meditation, with a focus on Yin yoga and breathing techniques, holding postures for extended periods of time, using props, blocks and belts to support the body and deepen the impact of the movement.

£8 drop in or £20 for 4 classes.

Bring a mat if you have one, I have a few spares available.

May it’s here and with it we are preparing a Flower and Plant Fair for the 19th at the courtyard of our Patisserie with fresh cut flowers, vases, pots, decorations, herbs and edible flowers and the Norfolk Sharp who will be here as long as the fair lasts for all those knives and garden tools that need sharpening.

Then end of the month we have another bank holiday in which we will bring to you our Tapas Weekend again! Don’t forget to book your table for this one to avoid disappointment!

Teles Patisserie

Our next pop-up cafe at Surlingham Church will be in the afternoon and not the morning as previously advertised.  Everyone welcome on Sunday May 19 from 2pm to 4pm.

Our next work session at the orchard will be on Sunday between 2 and 4pm.  Everyone welcome – please bring gardening gloves.  We’re hoping to tackle the fencing and to do some weeding so gardening tools such as forks/spades would also be welcomed.

This is a polite notice to inform that we are back to business as usual from tomorrow, 2nd of May, in our usual opening hours: 9.00 till 4.00 with our range of patisserie, light lunches, soups and afternoon teas.

If you consider a celebration cake these are also available by ordering within a weeks notice.

This month we are hosting a Plant and Flower Fair on the 19th with cut flowers, plants, flowers and garden decorations. Nurtured in Norfolk will also come with their array of edible flowers and herbs and will do a small explanation on how to use herbs and edible flowers in our day to day meals! Norfolk Sharp will visit us again so if you need any garden tool or knives to be sharpened please come by!
