A wonderful turnout for The Festival today in spite of the weather. The Festival Committee worked tirelessly during and before the event – so a huge thank you to them. Thank you also to Padmaloka for hosting the Festival so gracefully and for all their help.
Proceeds will go to Surlingham Ccommunity projects.

Come and have a look! The NEW Surlingham Festival is on NOW (11:30-3:30)! Live bands, cafe, miniature railway, carpet bowls, classic cars, inflatable assault course…

The Festival was opened by Sylvia from the Post Office who was voted ‘Unsung Hero’ by Surlingham villagers.

Thank you to everyone who voted for their Unsung Hero, the village resident you would like to see opening the Festival and their importance to you recognised & celebrated by the community.
The votes have been counted & verified and Surlingham Festival’s 1st Unsung Hero will be…………………………………………………………………………
opening the Festival at 11.30am on Saturday! Come along for the opening ceremony and see who gained the most votes and has become our very worthy winner.
Then stay on for lunch and enjoy the Programme of entertainment. And don’t worry about the weather forecast, the Committee have obtained every marquee & gazebo in NR14 & beyond! So everything will be covered and you will still be able to sit outside and enjoy the day, whatever the British weather!
Take a look at the programme for our village Festival on Saturday – there is something for everyone and lots to see & do, so set aside plenty of time to enjoy all of the attractions, entertainment, stalls and games. Programmes can be purchased on the entrance gate for £1 each and that gives you automatic entry into the Luxury Hamper Draw.
We will be selling filled rolls, pizza, crisps, cakes, quiche, ice cream and sweets plus hot & cold drinks, so no need to have lunch before you come!
We hope everyone has a fantastic time.
