SURLINGHAM TRUNDLERS is an opportunity for cyclists old and new to join others for a weekly leisure ride around the local area. If you want to begin cycling, but don’t want to do it on your own, come along to the Surlingham Ferry Inn at 10am on Saturday the 3rd of September for our first outing. It doesn’t matter if you are very experienced or a beginner, you will be welcome. The first ride will be relatively short so new riders will not feel overwhelmed.
This is not a cycling club, just a gathering of those who want to cycle. You are responsible for your own safety, protection and insurance requirements. Riding on the roads will be involved, so please consider you own safety when taking part.
For more information please contact me through the Surlingham.org website.

Our village is having a remembrance service in St Mary’s Church on November 13th 2016 for the casualties of WW1, there will now also be an addition to the memorial board.
One of the casualties was L/Cpl Harry Jordon son of Frederick Jordan of Mill Lane Surlingham, Harry married into the Aldis family and also lost two brothers in law, Herbert & William Aldis, we are hoping we can find any living relatives of these families to invite to the service.
If any of the current villagers are related or know of any whereabouts of relatives and would like to attend we would be delighted.
