This week’s services, ‘Still at the Barn’ and other events.

Dear All,

I hope you’re keeping well.

This Sunday’s morning services (Jan 15th) are 9.30am Morning Worship at Claxton and 11am Communion at Kirby Bedon. At 4pm, Helen is leading ‘Still at the Barn’, an hour of stillness, contemplation, words and music, experiencing darkness and welcoming the light. There will be opportunities to make a creative response if you wish to.

Warm Welcome at the Barn opens its doors on Monday 16th from 11am to 4pm, for freshly made soup, cakes, and good company. All welcome!

On Wednesday 18th at 7.30pm, I’m giving an online talk in aid of Hospice Ethiopia UK on Artists, Sitters and Settings. Looking at some well-known and less familiar portraits, we will explore how backgrounds and surroundings convey meaning to their audience. Please contact me if you’d like a Zoom link. Donations welcome.

Art Cafe visits The Singh Twin’s exhibition at Norwich Castle on Thursday 19th. Please contact me for more information.

Looking ahead to the following Sunday Jan 22nd there will be Communion at Surlingham, 9.30am and Morning Worship at Carleton St. Peter at 11am.

Best wishes, Nick
