I am emailing from the Mobile Library department about our poetry competition which is running throughout November and ending on 21^st December. We are inviting everyone to write a poem about the Mobile Library, in any capacity – a fantasy journey, a memory of the library, a recent visit to the library – the choice is the authors.

Poems can be given to drivers or emailed through to us here

The Mobile Library Team will pick their favourites and the authors will have the chance to be filmed, if suitable, reading their poems on the Mobile Library for a Digital Anthology which will be shown on our internal screens in the New Year.

We have 2 guest judges: Hayley Scott, author of Jar Baby and the Teacup series, and Elly Griffiths, author of the Ruth Galloway series, who will be around when we film for the Digital Anthology to meet the winners

Hello everyone! From this Sunday onwards we are bringing a Xmas Portuguese experience so from this Sunday on we are accepting bookings for a special menu!
In Portugal the King of Fish is Cod so we will prepare it in a very special way: “Bacalhau à Brás” – cod in a mix of garlic, coriander and eggs topped with olives. We will add the extra touch of Yare Valley Oils Vinaigrette! Then array of cakes!

Yoga with Yasmina wishes you a very cosy Christmas, yoga classes have finished for the winter to return once the frosts have thawed. See you in the new year.

Our Spirit of Xmas Fair was yesterday and what a day we all had! From us to stallholders visitors and everyone involved one feeling is coming though: it was a lovely event!
Everyone felt Surlingham is a beautiful lovely place to come and that all the locals are very welcoming!
