Calling all book lovers!

The local Book club is resurrecting in a new form –

come along to The Ferry House from 1.30pm Monday 20th March and see if this is for you.

If you are interested in sharing what you have enjoyed reading, and in discussing books with others, please come along and join in – availing yourself of a drink and cake ( or come a bit earlier and grab lunch) at the Ferry House. This is a group where no-one is forced to read anything that doesn’t appeal, but we can perhaps all pick up some recommendations that sound good and chat about what has you reading into the small hours because it’s gripped you! Strong recommendations for box sets, tv programmes and films that folk have particularly liked will also be welcomed.

If you need more information please ask Sonia at The Ferry House, or message thatkarenfrancis@gmail.com

Orchard session postpones

I’ve just been informed that due to weather issues the trees will not be arriving in time for the planned session on Sunday March 12. They’re now scheduled to arrive next week so we’ve rearranged our planting session for next Saturday – March 18 – between 2 and 4 pm. Apologies for the lateness of this message but the information has only just been received.

Looking out for a local wildlife photographer

We’re looking out for a local wildlife photographer (either professional or a keen and proficient amateur) for a possible project on Alderfen Marshes. It would be good to link up with someone locally if possible.

Please drop me a line on stephen@go-moco.co.uk if it’s of interest. It would be good to see any example photos if possible.

Thank you,

Steve.
