Community Orchard session – Sunday October 10

For the first time since the start of the pandemic we’re able to organise an orchard work session on Sunday October 10 from 10-12 am. We need to clear some bramble and nettles mainly along the new hedge trees we planted a couple of years ago so garden gloves, lopers, or a spade/fork would be useful. If you’d like to join us you’ll be most welcome.

Harvesting maize

Good morning, just wanted to let people know that we (Green Farm) are harvesting the Maize today on Mill Road and Hangman’s Lane/Hill House. Due to the weather it is creating a fair bit of mud on the road, we are trying our best to clear the mess up as we go but please do take care. Thanks

Information received from Tom Stiff

Sunday Services 3rd Oct, Art Cafe and services for next week

Dear all,
The central heating went on today for the first time – a big contrast to last Sunday!

Sunday 3rd October services are:
9.30am Communion at Claxton, and
11am Harvest Festival at Carleton St. Peter (donations to Norwich Food Bank welcomed).

On Wednesday at 10.30am it’s Art Cafe’s Online Autumn Almanac
Giving everyone the opportunity to share something you’ve seen (or made) that reminds you of the new season, or just come along and see what others bring! Please contact me if you’d like a Zoom invite.

Sadly, Bishop Alan is unable to be with us on Sunday 10th October, but we will still gather at 10am in Carleton Church for a Benefice Communion service as planned.

Best wishes,
Rev Nick
