Surlingham Church & Poor Charity – Applications invited

The Surlingham Church & Poor Charity was created in 1909 and modified by the Charity Act 2006 for the relief of financial hardship, either generally or individually for people living in the village of Surlingham.

The charity can assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure occupation of individuals who have need by reason of their youth, age, infirmity, disability, financial, or social circumstances with the aim of improving their conditions of life.

Please be aware from 2021 due to changes in how the funds are managed the amount available for distribution will be limited.

South Yare Art Trail details

A wonderful eclectic Trail with vibrant landscape paintings and prints, exquisite furniture, lovely laser animals, beautiful multi media paintings, stunning steel sculptures and terrific textiles. Travel through the south Broads, passing lovely villages, ancient churches, riverside pubs and local cafes. The Studios/Workshops and Gallery on this trail are all south of the Yare river between Surlingham and Raveningham, and include Surlingham’s very own Pippa Thurlow.

The Fish Van, Essentials & More

Hello everyone! Can you believe it’s nearly October? Time flies when you’re having fun…

In case you haven’t popped in for a while, we just thought we’d give you a quick reminder of all the wonderful local goodies and essentials we have in the farm shop;

Of course we stock the full range of oils, infusions, dressings, sauces and cosmetics made on site here, as well as re-fill facilities for our most popular products.

We also stock all of the essentials you need to fill your cupboard and your belly, including;

  • Local milk, butter and cheeses
  • Bacon and sausages
  • Joints and mince
  • Fresh, seasonal fruits and veggies
  • A range of jams, chutneys and chilli sauces
  • Flour, sugar and other baking essentials
  • Ready meals including Brick Pizzas, Currylicious and Farmyard frozen meals
  • Local tea and coffee
  • Lots of crisps, nuts and sweet treats too!
