Sunday 29th August Church services

Dear All,
I hope your bank holiday weekend is going well.

Today we’re joining our friends in Thurton benefice for a group Communion Service at 10am in Yelverton Church. In the afternoon there will be Evening Prayer in Rockland Church, beginning at 4pm.

You’re most welcome to join us at both services.

May I express our gratitude to all who attended the Candlelit Vigil and everyone who’s offered support for Afghan refugees. This is an unfolding crisis, and at this stage we are being particularly encouraged to make donations of furniture, appliances and money, which will be used flexibly to meet individual needs. More details can be found on the Norfolk County Council website https://www.norfolk.gov.uk/what-we-do-and-how-we-work/norfolk-county-council-news-and-updates/afghan-resettlement

Next Sunday (Sept 5th) sees two services at Claxton, 9.30am and Carleton St. Peter, 11am.

Confirmation is a step we can make in our journey of faith. It’s an opportunity to learn more, to share in the promises made for us at baptism and be admitted to receive holy communion. Bishop Alan is holding a Confirmation Service at Carleton St. Peter on October 10th at 11am. If you’d like to find out more or join our Confirmation Group meeting in September, please contact me or Helen for further information.

Best wishes,
Rev Nick

Fish Van tomorrow

The fish van will be with us tomorrow 10:30am until 4pm.

As always do please come see Tim and buy his fresh local goodies, the shop and Patisserie will also be open as per.

I will leave you on this joke that is so obvious, so silly, but really made me chuckle.

I went for a job interview the other day. They asked if I could perform under pressure. I said I wasn’t too bad, but did a really good Bohemian Rhapsody.
