There is a new road layout between the junction with the B1332 (Bungay Road) and the junction of the A47

Previously as you passed through the traffic lights (B1332) there were 3 lanes all going to Norwich and further on a slip road going onto the A47 West.

The lane priority has now been changed and the left lane is specifically for traffic going to the A47 West. If you want to go to Norwich, then you should not be in the inside lane.

Currently the new priority road markings are very near to the A47 and not immediately obvious when just going through the traffic lights (B1332).

Further road painting will have an extra A47 W sign much nearer to the trafiic lights (B1332), alerting Norwich traffic much earlier about the lane priority

Coronavirus is still with us so we all need to stay alert and safe.

Norfolk and Suffolk Community Trust would like to inform you of this part of a National Health Service (England) initiative to provide more psychotherapy to the general population and is part of a national NHS initiative: “Improving Access to Psychological Therapies” known as IAPT.

Throughout this difficult time, it’s natural to be feeling unsure, concerned about the future and cut off from others. We are here to help, offering support by telephone, video call, instant messaging and webinar.

We offer a range of courses, talking therapies such as cognitive behavioural therapy, counselling for depression, interpersonal therapy and couples counselling, and access to online social events to help us feel connected. Our social events are based around the ‘5 ways to wellbeing’ and range from quiz nights to gardening. We also have a variety of regular online webinars which focus on ways to look after your mental health during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Should you wish to talk to one of us directly, you can self-refer for a telephone assessment. The Wellbeing Service is an NHS IAPT service which offers a range of psychological therapies to help and support people to manage stress, low mood and anxiety, whatever the cause. We aim to reduce the onset of these difficulties, prevent deterioration, and promote recovery by offering a range of flexible services tailored to meet specific needs. Our Peer Support Workers have lived experience of mental health and use this experience to support your recovery journey.

Norfolk’s Young Carers – Carers Matter

A new campaign has been launched aimed at Norfolk’s young carers. Led by Norfolk Safeguarding Children Partnership and supported by carers organisations Carers Matter Norfolk and Caring Together, Heroes at Home recognises the vital role young carers play in supporting their loved ones at home and highlights the range of support available to help them.

It is estimated that over 11,000 children and young people from as young as 5 years of age in Norfolk are carers, helping to look after or support a family member or friend who is ill, disabled or misuses drugs or alcohol. This figure is likely to be higher as many children and young people may not identify themselves as a carer but may still fulfil a regular caring role for a family member.

Telephone call – To say your internet service provider will terminate your service within 24 hours. Press 1 to speak to a service manager – Do not press any keys – Hang up

DVLA – emails circulating claiming to be from DVLA.
Recent examples have included emails claiming that ‘your payment has failed’ and that you need to ‘Pay your vehicle tax to avoid unpleasant consequences’ purporting to be from an Andy Gray Vehicle Services Manager – This is a hoax delete

Emails claiming to be from BT – stating ‘Your payment had been declined.’ or ‘payment information for your account has been declined.’

If you’re worried about an email that appears to be from BT, rather than clicking on any links you should type ‘http://www.bt.com/mybt’ in your browser to log in to your My BT account.

• From here you can check your account details are up to date and view your bill
• Alternatively use our automated phone service to check your balance – 0800 443 311
• Forward the email to our dedicated mailbox ‘phishing@bt.com’ and delete the email

Scam Alert – test and trace scams

Please remember, genuine texts, calls or emails from the NHS service will not ask you for any personal details upfront.

You will be given a unique ID number to log into the NHS Test and Trace website. The only official web address for the NHS Test and Trace service can be accessed via this link.

We know the schools are still closed and without doubt young people are bored.

Messing with the nursery swings, throwing the matting about and daubing white paint on play equipment and other locations around the village is not the answer?

Parents and carers if your household is missing a pot of white paint and you can identify the culprit. Please provide them with the materials necessary and ensure they repair the damage.

Parish Councillors and volunteers from the village have worked hard to repair and install equipment on the park. Delivery of the Junior swings is delayed due to the Corvid crisis
